What can I expect from a workout with The Hard Yard?
Workouts last 45 minutes + don't use any equipment. You'll learn to challenge yourself using just your own bodyweight - a style of training that can be taken anywhere whether it's your lounge or hotel room. Your trainer will guide you through a warm up, 30 minutes of hard graft + a cool down. Our workouts alternate between cardio + strength exercises to keep it varied + keep you working hard throughout.
What do I need to bring with me?
All you need is yourself + a bottle of water. There are always taps available where you can refill your bottle at our venues.
What should I wear?
You can wear anything as long as you're comfortable moving about in it - although it's a good idea to wear suitable training shoes.
I’m new to exercise - will I be able to keep up?
Our workouts are suitable for all fitness levels. During the timed intervals you can go as fast or slow as you like. We prioritise good form above all + always encourage people to take it at their own pace. Our trainers tailor the exercises to make sure you get the most out of your workout.
What qualifications do the trainers have?
All our trainers are trained to lead group fitness classes + have their Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing as a minimum.
Can I turn up on the day for a workout?
No, we don't accept walk-ins. You need to book your workout in advance through our website - but this can be done up to one hour before a workout begins.
What happens if it’s raining + my workout is outdoors?
We train rain or shine - if you’re worried about the rain, bring a waterproof or grab yourself a beanie from our Game Face range.
Are there showers I can use after the workout?
There are two showers available at the Shoreditch rooftop but please bring your own towel. No other venue currently has shower facilities.
